Ge 2:1-3
Ex 20:8-10

The Hebrew word for rest is Sabbath

There are three qualities in Sabbath

1. Joy factor in Sabbath
2. Refreshment in Sabbath
3. Mercy in Sabbath

God declared the Sabbath, not because He was tired but for us. God Simply stopped. We keep working because we do not want to deal with the realissues.

Mk 2:27-28 reason God created Sabbath was because He knew we would need it.

Ge 1:31 He looked back and said it was very good. There is a joyful attribute in looking back.

The Sabbath was not intended to be common; it's to be different, sanctified. However, the other part of the joy is that God came back to work. It is not necessarily a time for great change to take place.

Ex 31:17 Refreshment in the Sabbath. Returned to the level of energy you were before.

Eph 2:4-7 God has it all under control. God wants the nest for us and we will see His kindness.
